Unboxing of New MKIII Battlegroup Starter Sets

Here is a video sneak-peek at the new Battlegroup Starter Sets being released by Privateer Press for the Warmachine/Hordes Games (currently release date = June 29, 2016)...
in this video Charles Agel from Privateer Press shows off and explains the new Battlegroup Starter Sets to Mike Paschal, of Peachstate Hobby Distribution in Florida.

Each of these new Battlegroup Starter Sets comes with a NEW, previously unreleased Warcaster/Warlock -- and the only way to get these new models is in the new Battlegroup Starter Sets.  Privateer Press has indicated they will be made available individually at some time in the future...but it will not be for quite awhile in my opinion, as they want to sell as many of these new Battlegroup Starter Sets as possible.

The box itself, holding the new Battlegroup Starter Sets, is a nice touch from Privateer Press: it is big enough and strong enough to act as a carrying case for the assembled models and accessories, and looks like it can hold a few more models than just those that come in the starter set.

All the new models are colored plastic -- each Faction a different color.  So a player can assemble the kits, and without any painting can start playing right away and be able to easily tell the difference at a glance between their army and the opponent's.  Here is a link to Peachstate Hobby Distribution's facebook page containing a photo-gallery of some of the colored models, unassembled:

The Training Manual included with the new Battlegroup Starter Sets has tutorial-style missions to walk a new player through basic movement, attacks, power attacks, etc. -- the included playing mat is two-sided and on one side has a playing area marked with locations (numbered and lettered spots) -- so the new player simply follows the steps in the tutorial missions and moves to the marked locations as instructed and within a short time has learned the basic actions and mechanics of the game.  This is a very nice feature in my opinion, because it allows a player with no previous wargaming experience to learn the basics quickly.  There are even markers for basic models (paper-dolls), with stat cards, so two players can play a basic game with just the contents of this set.  Here is a picture of the side of the play-mat that has the tutorial mission marker (I copied this picture from Peachstate Hobby Distribution's website, so give them credit):

I should include a link to Peachstate Hobby Distribution, since I posted picture and video from their site -- hopefully they don't feel that I am breaking any sort of rules.  Here is the link to the article they wrote about the upcoming release of MKIII:

With the release of MKIII comes the new stat cards for all models/pieces -- sigh.  One thing mentioned in the unboxing video that players need to remember: the new card sets for each Faction do not include the minions/mercenary cards.  Now the card sets for Minions and Mercenaries have to be purchased as a separate set.
